The book cover enticed me to read a review by John Perrodin that I think is worth posting here. He recommends 13 Ways to Ruin Your Life to men young and old, married and single as they deal with relationships, sexual sin, addictions, pornography, and more. Read his review here.

This book review suggests that all men need accountability. I would add that we (men and women, young and old) all need accountability as we journey through this life and prepare for the next. I've heard men complain that they don't have any real friends - John Perrodin suggests that this book will give some insight into finding friends and following the path of righteousness.

I recently found a new author whose work I enjoy - James Scott Bell. Presumed Guilty is a murder mystery and a lot more. It's one of those books that I didn't figure out in the first few chapters (rare in Christian fiction). The book challenges the reader without coming across preachy. The final installment of the Four Seasons Series takes the reader into the life of newlyweds Brad and Ashley Hanes. They seemed so happy and so in love and then life hit them quickly. Read along as you see how issues of alcohol abuse, pornography and more are dealt with in this novel. Catherine Palmer and Gary Chapman braved deep waters in this book. You are bound to find an issue that you or someone you love has endured in this series. The authors help readers realize that problems come to all people, but what makes a difference are the resources available to conquer them. I recommend reading the whole series in order so the reader is able to have background information about the characters. This series is easy medicine and I recommend them to anyone who enjoys fiction or who has issues to deal with in a marriage, but doesn’t think they can read another self-help book on marriage.
