The Ultimate Life by Jim Stovall

Jim Stovall wrote two books (The Ultimate Gift and The Ultimate Life) that could cause significant life changes if the twelve principles (Gifts) he presented in story form were applied to our lives. Even though neither book is overtly Christian, I think most Christians would quickly find wisdom from the Bible in each of the gifts. He uses mild humor and basic human nature to draw us in and cause the reader to hunger for more in life - not to get, but to give more. Both books can be read relatively quickly. The twelve gifts he shares are: Work, Money, Friends, Learning, Problems, Family, Laughter, Dreams, Giving, Gratitude, Day, and Love. I highly recommend both books.

I really enjoying all types of books, and I think I will try to round up one of these to read. If I do I will let you know what I think if you want.

Hi Julie,

Have you read any of good books lately? I just came back across this comment and realized I never replied to you - oops! I can't believe its been this long already that we've been reading each others blogs.

I got 5 holds from the library today - why do they all have to become available at the same time! I'm so overwhelmed! Plus I have several books already checked out...
